Treating fellow employees with respect and understanding contributes to a productive and professional workplace. However, inappropriate comments, jokes, language, photographs undermine a positive work environment. This Video On Demand training shows how harassment based on sex, race, religion, age, disability or other legally protected characteristics can create a hostile work environment interfering with an employee's ability to perform their job.

This video shows how women, as well as men, can be perpetrators of harassing behavior, and how same-sex harassment can be a workplace problem. Employees learn how to respond to harassment directed at them or their coworkers, while avoiding a verbal or physical altercation. The importance of reporting harassing behavior is addressed. Precautions to help one's own behavior from being construed as harassment are also illustrated.

This video demonstrates harassing behaviors, the right way to respond to those behaviors, the need to report harassment, and holds up a mirror so employees can evaluate their own behaviors. This is an excellent way to educate employees about their rights and responsibilities to help ensure a harassment-free workplace.
