Forklift Safety for Pedestrians and Operators
Nearly 80% of all forklift-related accidents resulting in death involve a pedestrian. According to OSHA, almost 70% of these accidents could be avoided if precautionary measures were taught and taken. This month we released two courses related to pedestrian safety and forklift safety.
“Forklift Pedestrian Safety For Operators” covers general safety precautions, preparations for driving, best practices for driving, and pedestrian safety. Present this course to help forklift learn the best practices for operating a forklift when pedestrians are present throughout the facility.
“Forklift Safety For Pedestrians” focuses on forklift safety, specifically addressing the safety concerns faced by pedestrians. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of walking safely around forklifts, including identifying potential blind spots and utilizing effective communication methods to ensure clear and safe pathways.
