Workplace Violence

Violent behaviors and tragedies occur every day in every segment of society. However, one environment where violence commonly occurs, but is not often publicized, is in the workplace.

At least two million workers report being assaulted on the job every year; one in ten workplace fatalities is a homicide. All of which adds up, according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, to more than $100 billion dollars in lost revenue every year.

This course teaches employees the dark realities of workplace violence; what it is, how often it occurs, the warning signs, how to handle aggressive behavior, and how to deal with it once someone becomes violent. The result: employees are empowered to be prepared before, during, and after a violent event occurs.
